Russian Videoart in Documenta Festival

Documenta – an ambitious artist-led international event featuring artist from the UK, China, Thailand, Russia, Australia, Canada, Korea.

MediaLab Cyland videoarchive curator Viktoria Ilyshkina has prepared the videopragramme featuring the works of Russian videoartists.

Eduard Shelganov’s new project «Cinema  point»
A cycle of films  «Cinema point» – the  program of director Eduard Shelganov represents a series of lectures and watching the  fragments of films. The first part of  program – «auteur cinema – between videoart  and a cult» is devoted to such concept as auteur cinema. The reasons  of this term appearance, its role, perspectives,  methods, its relations to the image, its development, relevance – all these themens will be causu for discussions and watching.
